Questions from Derry
Do bespoke lanterns cost much more?
For simple rectangles the premium over a stock size is usually modest. Special shapes cost more because each one is engineered individually.
Will I see a drawing before it is made?
For made-to-measure and special shapes, yes: the order is based on a drawing you approve, so the size you check is the size that gets made.
How quickly can I get a roof lantern in Derry?
Stock sizes are typically ready in 5–10 working days, made-to-measure in 3–4 weeks, plus delivery. Your quote gives the date for BT47.
Is it worth having solar-control glass in Derry?
With the midsummer sun about 58.4° high at noon, roof glass in Derry gets strong summer sun. Solar control is recommended for large or south-facing lanterns.
