Black roof lanterns
Black roof lanterns, usually RAL 9005, give the sharpest contrast against white ceilings and sky. They pair with steel-look internal screens, black window frames and industrial or monochrome kitchens.

In short: RAL 9005 jet black for crisp contrast and steel-look interiors. Guide prices start from £1,295 including VAT, supply only.
Why choose black?
Black frames look slimmer against bright sky because they read as thin lines. They also match the steel-look and black aluminium doors that have become common on rear extensions.
Black outside, white inside?
If you want the lantern to disappear from the outside but keep a bright ceiling, choose black outside and white inside. If you want the steel-look grid from inside too, choose black both sides.
What does a black lantern cost?
Black is a stock colour on most ranges. Guide prices below include VAT.

Black roof lanterns: common questions
Is a black lantern too dark inside?
The frame is a small part of what you see; the glass dominates. Black frames inside create a graphic grid that many people like. If you want a softer look, choose white inside.
Will black fade?
Quality powder coatings are designed for UK weather. Matt finishes may show a slight sheen change over many years.
What black is it?
Usually RAL 9005. If your doors are a different black, such as RAL 9004 or 9011, give us the code.
Does black get hotter?
The frame surface does, but the effect on the room is small next to the choice of glass.
