Planning and building regulations for Llandudno
Wales sets its own energy standards for rooflights in the Welsh Approved Document L, so the Welsh figures apply rather than England's.
Permitted development rules in Wales are set separately, so check with your council, especially for listed buildings and conservation areas.
Building regulations in Llandudno are checked by your local authority building control team. Replacing a rooflight in an existing home is building work in Wales too. A competent person scheme installer can self-certify; otherwise building control should be notified.

Questions from Llandudno
Is a contemporary lantern the same as a flat rooflight?
No. A contemporary lantern still has sloping glass and a ridge or apex; it simply has slimmer frames and fewer bars. A flat rooflight is a single, nearly flat pane of glass on an upstand.
Do contemporary lanterns cost more?
Usually a little more per size than a standard range, because the bigger glass units cost more to make and handle.
Do you deliver roof lanterns to Llandudno?
Yes. Delivery to Llandudno (LL30) is quoted for your exact postcode and confirmed in writing on your quote, together with the lead time.
Can you fit a roof lantern in Llandudno?
We can quote for fitting where we have cover. Send your postcode and photos of the roof and kerb, and we will confirm before quoting.
