Planning and building regulations for Welshpool
Wales sets its own energy standards for rooflights in the Welsh Approved Document L, so the Welsh figures apply rather than England's.
Wales has its own householder permitted development rules; listed buildings and conservation areas are the usual cases needing consent.
Building regulations in Welshpool are checked by your local authority building control team. Replacing a rooflight in an existing home is building work in Wales too. A competent person scheme installer can self-certify; otherwise building control should be notified.
