Are uPVC lanterns as good as aluminium?
They do the same job at a lower price, with bulkier frames and fewer colour and size options. For most showpiece extensions aluminium is worth the extra.
Will white uPVC yellow over time?
Modern uPVC profiles are UV-stabilised and should stay white with normal cleaning. Very old lanterns, especially with polycarbonate panels, are the ones that discolour.
Is it worth having solar-control glass in Risca?
With the midsummer sun about 61.8° high at noon, roof glass in Risca gets strong summer sun. Solar control is recommended for large or south-facing lanterns.
