Planning and building regulations for Gorseinon
Wales sets its own energy standards for rooflights in the Welsh Approved Document L, so the Welsh figures apply rather than England's.
Check the Welsh permitted development rules with your council before ordering, particularly in conservation areas.
Building regulations in Gorseinon are checked by your local authority building control team. Replacing a rooflight in an existing home is building work in Wales too. A competent person scheme installer can self-certify; otherwise building control should be notified.

Questions from Gorseinon
What if the lantern arrives damaged?
Check the packaging and glass on delivery where you can, note any damage on the delivery paperwork and tell us straight away with photos. Goods remain our responsibility until they are delivered to you.
Do you deliver to building sites?
Yes, to mainland Britain addresses, with Northern Ireland, the Highlands and islands by arrangement. Tell us about access, parking restrictions and whether a forklift or tail lift will be needed.
Who checks building regulations for a lantern in Gorseinon?
Your local authority building control team. For a lantern in a new extension it forms part of the extension's approval; replacements in existing homes have their own rules.
Do I need planning permission for a roof lantern in Gorseinon?
Often not, but it depends on the roof, the property and whether it is listed or in a conservation area. Check with your county or county borough council before ordering.
