Planning and building regulations for Maghull
For homes in England, a new or replacement rooflight should achieve a U-value of 2.2 W/m²K or better in the horizontal position, under Approved Document L.
On a permitted development extension the lantern counts towards the extension's height; on an existing roof, a rooflight projecting more than 150 mm may need planning permission.
Building regulations in Maghull are checked by your local authority building control team or a registered building control approver. Replacing a rooflight in an existing home is building work. Installers registered with a competent person scheme can self-certify; otherwise building control must be involved.

Ask us when you request your quote. Collection depends on where your lantern is made.

Yes, to mainland Britain addresses, with Northern Ireland, the Highlands and islands by arrangement. Tell us about access, parking restrictions and whether a forklift or tail lift will be needed.
Do I need planning permission for a roof lantern in Maghull?
Often not, but it depends on the roof, the property and whether it is listed or in a conservation area. Check with your district, borough or unitary council before ordering.

We can quote for fitting where we have cover. Send your postcode and photos of the roof and kerb, and we will confirm before quoting.
