Planning and building regulations for Stirling
Here the Building (Scotland) Regulations and the domestic Technical Handbook set the standards, with a building warrant usually required for extension work.
Your council will confirm whether your lantern is permitted development under Scotland's rules, particularly for listed buildings.
Building regulations in Stirling are checked by your local authority building standards (verifier) service. Some like-for-like replacement work does not need a building warrant but must still meet the building standards. Your council's building standards service can confirm.
