Rectangular roof lanterns for Strabane homes
The classic double-hipped lantern: a ridge, four sloping sides and the most size choice.
At 54.83°N, Strabane sees roughly 7h 12m of daylight in late December and 17h 20m in late June. A lantern faces the bright overhead sky all year, so it brings in useful light even on the short, grey days.

Questions from Strabane
What is the most common rectangular roof lantern size?
Sizes of 1000 × 2000 mm and 1500 × 2500 mm are common standard sizes for kitchen and dining extensions, but the right size is the one that matches your kerb. If your kerb is not built yet, our sizes guide helps you pick a standard size first.
Which way should the ridge run?
The ridge runs along the longer side. On a square opening there is no ridge and the lantern becomes a pyramid.
Can you fit a roof lantern in Strabane?
We can quote for fitting where we have cover. Send your postcode and photos of the roof and kerb, and we will confirm before quoting.
Do I need planning permission for a roof lantern in Strabane?
Often not, but it depends on the roof, the property and whether it is listed or in a conservation area. Check with your district council before ordering.
