Questions from Carrickfergus
Can I have a contemporary lantern in white?
Yes, though most buyers choose grey or black because the slimmer frame is the point and dark frames disappear against the sky.
Is a contemporary lantern the same as a flat rooflight?
No. A contemporary lantern still has sloping glass and a ridge or apex; it simply has slimmer frames and fewer bars. A flat rooflight is a single, nearly flat pane of glass on an upstand.
Can you fit a roof lantern in Carrickfergus?
We can quote for fitting where we have cover. Send your postcode and photos of the roof and kerb, and we will confirm before quoting.
Is it worth having solar-control glass in Carrickfergus?
With the midsummer sun about 58.7° high at noon, roof glass in Carrickfergus gets strong summer sun. Solar control is recommended for large or south-facing lanterns.
