Planning and building regulations for Neath
Wales sets its own energy standards for rooflights in the Welsh Approved Document L, so the Welsh figures apply rather than England's.
Permitted development rules in Wales are set separately, so check with your council, especially for listed buildings and conservation areas.
Building regulations in Neath are checked by your local authority building control team. Replacing a rooflight in an existing home is building work in Wales too. A competent person scheme installer can self-certify; otherwise building control should be notified.

Questions from Neath
Can I return a bespoke lantern?
No. Goods made to your specification are excluded from the 14-day cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations. Your other legal rights, for example if the lantern is faulty, are not affected.
Do bespoke lanterns cost much more?
For simple rectangles the premium over a stock size is usually modest. Special shapes cost more because each one is engineered individually.
Is it worth having solar-control glass in Neath?
With the midsummer sun about 61.8° high at noon, roof glass in Neath gets strong summer sun. Solar control is recommended for large or south-facing lanterns.
Do you deliver roof lanterns to Neath?
Yes. Delivery to Neath (SA11) is quoted for your exact postcode and confirmed in writing on your quote, together with the lead time.
