Planning and building regulations for Stonehaven
Here the Building (Scotland) Regulations and the domestic Technical Handbook set the standards, with a building warrant usually required for extension work.
Your council will confirm whether your lantern is permitted development under Scotland's rules, particularly for listed buildings.
Building regulations in Stonehaven are checked by your local authority building standards (verifier) service. Some like-for-like replacement work does not need a building warrant but must still meet the building standards. Your council's building standards service can confirm.

Questions from Stonehaven
Do bespoke lanterns cost much more?
For simple rectangles the premium over a stock size is usually modest. Special shapes cost more because each one is engineered individually.
Can I return a bespoke lantern?
No. Goods made to your specification are excluded from the 14-day cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations. Your other legal rights, for example if the lantern is faulty, are not affected.
Who checks building regulations for a lantern in Stonehaven?
Your local authority building standards (verifier) service. For a lantern in a new extension it forms part of the extension's approval; replacements in existing homes have their own rules.
How quickly can I get a roof lantern in Stonehaven?
Stock sizes are typically ready in 5–10 working days, made-to-measure in 3–4 weeks, plus delivery. Your quote gives the date for AB39.
