Anthracite grey roof lanterns for Maldon homes
RAL 7016 anthracite grey, a widely chosen colour to match grey doors and windows.
In midsummer the noon sun stands about 61.7° high over Maldon, so roof glazing gets the full strength of it. That is why solar-control glass is worth considering on larger lanterns here.

Planning and building regulations for Maldon
For homes in England, a new or replacement rooflight should achieve a U-value of 2.2 W/m²K or better in the horizontal position, under Approved Document L.
Lanterns on permitted development extensions are part of the extension's height limits. Adding one to an existing roof is different: over 150 mm of projection can mean a planning application.
Building regulations in Maldon are checked by your local authority building control team or a registered building control approver. Replacing a rooflight in an existing home is building work. Installers registered with a competent person scheme can self-certify; otherwise building control must be involved.

Questions from Maldon
Does anthracite show dirt?
Less than white. Dust and pollen are more visible on dark gloss finishes, which is why most grey lanterns use a matt or textured finish.
Can the inside be a different grey?
Yes. Any combination is possible on most aluminium ranges; non-stock colours carry a small surcharge.
Do you deliver roof lanterns to Maldon?
Yes. Delivery to Maldon (CM9) is quoted for your exact postcode and confirmed in writing on your quote, together with the lead time.
Can you fit a roof lantern in Maldon?
We can quote for fitting where we have cover. Send your postcode and photos of the roof and kerb, and we will confirm before quoting.
