Questions from Penicuik
Do aluminium lanterns get cold and drip?
Thermally broken frames are designed to reduce cold bridging. Condensation can still form if a room is very humid and poorly ventilated, which is why kitchens and bathrooms need extract ventilation.
Will the colour fade?
Polyester powder coatings are designed for outdoor use and hold their colour well. Coastal sites benefit from occasional washing to remove salt deposits.
Do I need planning permission for a roof lantern in Penicuik?
Often not, but it depends on the roof, the property and whether it is listed or in a conservation area. Check with your council before ordering.
Can you fit a roof lantern in Penicuik?
We can quote for fitting where we have cover. Send your postcode and photos of the roof and kerb, and we will confirm before quoting.
